I’m someone who loves adventure and believes that life is a series of adventures cobbled together. I’ve had the opportunity to experience it in different ways, from growing up in Fort Collins, Colorado, to attending Colorado State University. After college, I was restless and ready to strike out on my own, so I moved to Corpus Christi, Texas, where I taught high school math for five years.

During that time, I traveled, bummed it at the beach, and went back to the mountains. In Waco, I was lucky enough to convince a brilliant girl to marry me. While teaching was always sort of a backup plan for me professionally, I enjoyed it and taught Algebra 1, Calculus, and even Personal Finance.

In 2018, I made three really great choices: we bought our first house; I dropped out of my master’s program to be a principal; and I quit teaching at the end of the year without a new job lined up. You can imagine how enthused my parents were! Nonetheless, I had a fair idea of what I wanted next. I wanted to own my own business, be involved in the community, have a team, and do something that the analytical part of my brain would enjoy.

Later that year, a State Farm opportunity came across my path, and it checked all my boxes. I opened my agency in 2019 in Corpus Christi. This portion of my adventure has been the hardest and the most rewarding. I look forward to continuing to serve the Corpus Christi community for years to come.
